DescriptionTechnical description: Brass, in saxophone wrap. With tuning-shank, ligature screw restraint on crook; with detachable angled crook, ligature screw restraint on body; also main tuning-slide in first bow. Two bells side-by-side; one a normal trumpet bell, the other permanently muted by a Harmon-like termination, with a wah-wah device. The crook tenon is long enough to lower to pitch to A. Water-keys on main tuning-slide and muted bell only. Standard three valves for R1, R2, R3; the bell selection valve for L0; the wah-wah device lever operated by L4 with leaf spring return. Valve type: 3 Pe*rinet valves and Pe*rinet-type bell selection valve, bottom-sprung, alignment by taquet on piston engaging with channel in casing interior. |
