DescriptionTechnical description: Apparently the 'Improved "Victory" Compensator' advertised by Besson c 1903. Silver-plated brass. the 1st valve is double with the 3rd as master, the 3rd valve is double with the 4th as master, and the 4th valve is double with the 1st as master.With water-keys on main tuning-slide and the shorter 3rd valve tuning-slide loop (below the 4th valve).With fitting for music-card holder. Valve type: 4 Périnet-type valves with very long pistons; bottom-sprung, alignment by taquet on piston engaging with channel in casing interior. Repair History: Converted to low pitch by extensions to main tuning-slide legs adding c 120mm to minimum sounding length; The mouthpiece receiver has been shortened. |
