DescriptionTechnical description: The domra is a member of the long-necked lute family. It has three metal strings, which pin it geographically to Russia (the Ukranian domra has four strings). The headstock is host to three plastic tuners. These are white and are adorned with a series of engraved lines. The body is characteristically round and constructed out of a thin, orange wood. The back is rounded and shallow, with a ridged finish. The soundhole is 13.9mm in diameter. It is decorated with a black floral design. Below this is the bridge, which measures 84.4mm. |
