DescriptionTechnical description: Silver-plated brass; flugelhorn bore profile. No tuning-slide, but the shank and crooks have long cylindrical tenons while the socket on the body has ligature restraining screw at the shank/crook receiver, so tuning is effected by adjusting depth of shank or crook insertion. With tuning-shank for C and tuning-crooks for B♭ and A. With fitting for music card-holder. Valve type: 2 Périnet valves, top-sprung, spring in a capsule, alignment by three-armed washer under the spring resting in short slots in casing lining and running in slots in the capsule. Repair History: The 1st valve tuning-slide has been shortened. |
