In track 1 (of 2) of this biographical interview, Kenny Doonan (b.c1930s) describes his childhood on Barrachen Estate, where his mother had Home Farm and kept a small dairy herd. Kenny went on to work as an independent contractor, taking travelling mills, balers and combines around the area. In track 2 (of 2), Kenny talks more about his life in farming. He also describes working with travelling mills, how farming has changed over time, recreation, housing, peat-cutting and community life. |
