DescriptionThis wax model shows the visual apparatus and its elements in three dimensions. Clemente Susini (1754-1814), famous wax modeller, collaborated with the Italian physicist Felice Fontana in his studies on the eye. The ability of the wax modellers allowed scientists to observe and study anatomy and thoroughly learn about the human body and its diseases, avoiding the inconvenience resulting from the use of corpses.
