Description | Thomas Fuller was educated at Queens' College, Cambridge where he studied the works of the philosophers Rene Descartes (1596-1650) and Thomas Willis (1621-1675). He graduated Batchelor of Medicine in 1676 and then Doctor of Medicine in 1681. In 1679 he was admitted an extra-licentiate of the College of Physicians of London. Fuller set up his medical practice in Sevenoaks, Kent, which grew steadily in popularity along with his reputation. He published several medical works, including 'Exanthemologia', on eruptive fevers, and also three collections of maxims. |
