| Description | 768 mosaic fragments from the arches Tottenham Court Road Tube Station. Designed in th 1980s by Eduardo Paolozzi as part of his commission for the station. The arches were abstract in design, with some parts being influenced by an Egyptian panel in the nearby British Museum. The arches were removed from the Station in 2015 as a result of redevelopment works at the station. They were gifted to the University of Edinburgh in October 2015. Since their arrival at the University, with the help of the School of Informatics it has been established that this material amounts to 33% of the original artwork. |
