Tension rod of cherry, 16mm square. Heel, neck and head of one piece of cherry. Ebony cap on heel with mother-of-pearl dot. Heel flows smoothly into neck, which is of a D section. Neck flows smoothly into head. Head veneered on top with ebony and three inlaid mother-of-pearl dots. Four enclosed pegs on head with ivory buttons. Fifth peg on side of neck, button for fifth string behind fifth fret. Fingerboard of ebony. Sharp angle between fourth and fifth frets for extra string. Neck width 34.0mm at nut, 43.0mm at fret 5, and 54.1mm at body. Inlaid dots on fingerboard, one dot at first fret, three dots in a diagonal line at fourth fret, two dots at fret 7, three dots forming a triangle at fret 10, two dots at fret 12, one dot at fret 14, and dots at frets 16, 17 and 18 forming a diagonal line. 18 frets in total.
