DescriptionTechnical description: The round, convex, varnished pernambuco (?) stick ends in a rounded meat cleaver head. The large, screw-mechanism, canted, ebony frog has two mother-of-pearl decorative eyes, each made of a colourful centre surrounded by a white ring, each surrounded by a metal decorative eye ring. The frog has a metal ferrule with a wooden ferrule wedge, a nickel (?) underslide, and a dark wooden slide. The bow currently has mixed white, red-brown, and black hair. The ebony button has a silver (?) ring and is octagonal with a rim.

Repair History: Part of the ebony on the thumb side of the frog was broken off and replaced with light-coloured wood.
Inscriptions: Lines in the design of "////" are scratched into the stick in front of the head mortise. Lines leaning the other way, in the design of "\\\\" are scratched into the metal underslide in front of the screw eye.
The end ring on the button is missing and the ebony end is chipped. The underslide is loose on the frog and is held in place by the screw eye; one stud is missing.
